In effect a POV view of the world for the reader, because she knows who you are, what you are and what you need! Not that Monique is going to allow you to get away with naughtiness!
Monique, a woman whose pastimes and business coincide. Creating toys for the use of those that can afford something quite special. This present contract is for a couple, a matching pair of helpless slaves for a couple who demand just that little bit more of their intimate pets. The research is done, the candidates selected, the training decided upon… Starting with seduction, moving on to the education that is required, Monique speaks to the reader as she makes her moves and enjoys the experience of asserting her dominance.
Breaking them down, discovering their weaknesses, manipulating and humiliating the couple chosen for her clients, Monique moves step by step, recreating and rebuilding her victims as the reader watches from the sidelines. Of course there are ups and downs, attempts to throw off her strict grip, but then this is all part of the challenge for a woman who enjoys her business as much as Monique does. It is not just for the money that Monique plays these games, she plays because she enjoys every moment!
And, best of all… the reader is manipulated just as Charlie and Susan are. Spoken to, controlled and brought to understand that they might just be the next one on her list…

First of all, let's start with the style that this novel is written in... As you will have seen, I just love to play with words. At the time I had been writing third-person style mostly, so I thought that it would be a good twist to tell the tale of a professional dominant from the POV of herself. Once I had started, I thought that Monique deserved to speak to the reader directly. This would allow her to explain herself and show that she knows who her readers are.
The idea of Monique as a sort of assassin, a one person trainer and seller of slaves by order was also one that I had been longing to test on paper. She has to be witty, sharp, intelligent and at the same time cynical, ruthless and driven. Monique is all of these.
One thing that is perhaps 'unrealistic' (as often happens in fiction) is that she takes a personal part in what she does. It would be easier to imagine an institutional set-up, but Monique is more of a craftsman than a producer of slaves and her personal touch is all important!
